Privacy policy

Decima Tech is a software company based in Kenya. We are the data controller for personal data collected through decimatech.com. You can reach us at hello@decimatech.com or +254 736 901 264.

When you use our contact form, we collect:

• your name and email address
• the type of project you select, if any
• the message you write to us

When you browse the site, we collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics such as pages viewed, referring sites, country, and device type. These statistics don't use cookies and can't be used to identify you.

• to confirm by email that we've received your message
• to reply to your enquiry and discuss your project
• to prepare proposals or quotes you ask for
• to understand how the site is used and improve it

We process contact form data with your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and to take steps you ask for before entering a contract. We process anonymous usage statistics on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving the site.

We don't sell your personal data or share it for marketing. We use a small number of service providers to run the site:

• Vercel, which hosts the site and provides the usage statistics
• Resend, which delivers contact form messages to our inbox and sends your confirmation email

These providers may process data outside Kenya. Where they do, we rely on them to apply appropriate safeguards, as the Data Protection Act requires.

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and for no longer than [24 months] unless they lead to a contract. Client records are then kept as our contract and the law require.

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:

• be told how your personal data is used
• access the personal data we hold about you
• have inaccurate data corrected
• have your data deleted
• object to or withdraw consent for processing

To use any of these rights, email hello@decimatech.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).

The site is served only over HTTPS, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need them to respond to you.
